Tour Stop #1 - Record your time by using the timer or hand enter the time when you are away from the computer
Using the TimeSlice Timer.
TimeSlice has a timer you can use to keep track
of how much time you spend on an activity. Click on the start button
and the
timer begins. A new time row is added to the table when the timer is
started. The current date and time is entered into the new time row.
TimeSlice provides you with the option of setting default values for
the Project, Category, Client and Mark columns of a new time row. You
can pause and resume the timer by clicking to toggle the
button which
will show indented when the timer is paused. The timer is stopped by
clicking to toggle the
button which will show indented when the timer is
running. If you want to continue the timer on an existing row, select
the one row (the start timer turns to show a time of 3:10 when
restart is available) and click the restart button
.
Use any of the methods to start, stop, pause, resume or restart the timer. You can control the timer with "Fn" function keys, with the start/stop/restart button and pause/resume button on the document toolbar, with the menus under the Time Menu. The timer can even be controlled from menus from the program icon in the task bar.

TimeSlice has a status button that shows the
state of the timer -
started,
stopped and
paused. The status button is shown in the
main window of TimeSlice by the Time Table and is shown in the
TimeSlice icon in the task bar.
Hand enter Time.
If you are away from your computer and need to add a time row to TimeSlice, you can press the "Insert" key on your keyboard or select the "Add TimeTable Row" menu. A new row will be added to the TimeTable with the current date, time and the new record default values. The start date, start time, stop date, stop time, elapsed time or paused time can be edited in the cell or the entire row can be edited in the Edit Time Dialog Box.
